Thank you for helping our forest. I live in pangkalan bun. I really proud of you I hear from the tour guide in Tanjung Puting, he said u wanna come to Pangkalan Bun with some guest from ur country in february. I was go to Tanjung Puting once, its nice place. I know Camp Leakey from ur friend name Louis Leakey. I read it from wikipedia.com. I know too u was in The New York Times, The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, and twice in cover of National Geographic. Other honors bestowed upon to u include the PETA Humanitarian Award (1990), the Eddie Bauer Hero of the Earth (1991), the Sierra Club Chico Mendes Award (1992), and the United Nations Global 500 Award in 1993.

		<description>Thanks for reading. The Governor was very supportive verbally but followed through with no real action. It doesn&#039;t matter that much now because he will be leaving his office soon and not seeking a second term.  His decision to retire from his post probably had something to do with members of his family, who are also in government, having been accused of much corruption. We hope the new Governor will be more action oriented than the current one when it comes to helping wild orangutan populations, forests, and even local Dayak people and culture.
